The Versatility of a Studio 28 Dress

In these difficult economic times, versatility of our outfits is key. We must limit ourselves to purchasing fewer items and choosing them carefully. In order to maximize the use we get out of one piece, it's best to choose items that fit perfectly and can be worn in different settings. We must be able to take a dress from day to evening. Take, for example, this Studio 28 sample dress from two seasons ago. Even though the print and colors of the dress are very distinct, it achieves two very different looks by varying accessories. We encourage you to try this at home. We also encourage you to take advantage of Studio 28's custom sizing for a perfect fit.

Wear Super Short Skirts to Promote a Better Economy in 2009

The "hemline theory" predicts that as hemlines trend upwards and down in women's fashion, the financial markets follow. Short hemlines are associated with a bull market and long hemlines with a bear market. This theory originated in the roaring 20's when times were good and women would wear short skirts to reveal luxurious silk stockings, while when the economy turned sour, women transitioned to long skirts meant to conceal bare legs. This prompted people to believe that skirt lengths were associated with the economy.

If the hemline theory is accurate and a connection exists between hemlines and finance, Studio 28 will be doing it's part to promote economic recovery in 2009. We are introducing our new super short skirt--a straight, fitted, super short skirt. My own personal contribution being last night’s NYE outfit, detailed below and illustrated above, super short skirt included.

  • Diamond Earrings
  • Tailored leather jacket
  • Studio 28 Dress
  • Bateau Top

  • Super Short Skirt

  • Sequined waist band and Skirt Detail
  • Black opaques
  • Black leather ankle boots
